In the United Methodist Tradition, we call small groups for women “circles.”
The WSUMC Mothers’ Circle
The WSUMC Mothers’ Circle consists of moms of children ages birth through high school. The group’s two main purposes are (1) to work with other church committees and staff to plan and facilitate programs for and about children and (2) to bring together all women of the church who might not otherwise see each other because they belong to different interest groups. We also contribute time and resources to local women’s and children’s charities. The Mothers’ Circle meets 8 to 10 times a year, no more than once a month, sometimes on Saturday mornings at a member’s home and sometimes on a weeknight at the church or a restaurant for dinner. For upcoming events and meeting information, or to be added to the Mothers’ Circle membership list, please contact Dana Wood or Erin Lee.
The Grace Circle
The Grace Circle consists of women of our church who meet in members’ homes after church about once a month for fellowship and study. They also participate in outreach projects (such as originating our Bible box that gifts passers-by in our community with free Bibles). Contact the church office for more information.
